3 Day Dog Sledding Expedition to Igloo. Welcome to an unforgettable adventure in the wilderness.

Every participant is an equal, everyone helps share the load, from planning the route, making food and handling the dogs.

The dogs will be your engine the hours and they will bring you on an adventure you maybe never have experience earlier. The nature is stunning and a white layer of snow covers the landscape.

Join our polar heroes Barentz, Nansen, Nobile on a 3-days dogsledding trip in Svalbard beautiful and interesting surroundings.

All our dogs are named after polar heroes of the Arctic and Antarctic.

Regardless of the weather; good or bad, starry sky, full moon, or northern lights, this will be a little different tour.


We pick you up at the hotel of your preference in Longyearbyen.

After getting dressed we will give you instructions of how the dog sledding tour, about the route and you will learn the theory of driving dogs, for next step you will learn it by practicing.

You will drive your own team alone the entire trip. How long we drive, it depends on the weather and conditions. We have our igloo (glass fiber) as a camp and there we will overnight, however we will always take a tent with us in case of an “emergency” overnight somewhere we must.


The weather in Arctic can change very suddenly, so this is why we have to plan our trip counting on making changes if necessary, being flexible.



  • One single sled per guest, in other words, not shared.
  • Warm winter dress, shoes, hat and gloves. If it is dark you will get tour own headlight. We recommend you to use extra, good and warm wool clothing.
  • Sleeping bag, mat, reindeer skin, warm drink, all meals and snacks during the expedition. If you have any food allergies, please give message.
  • Pick up and drop off.


From about 12/13:00 on day 1/ until about 15/16:00 on day 3

Min 1 and Max 3 guests per trip

As a guest, you must be aware of:

  • You drive your own team, you will help us to take the harness on and off, also you will drive your own sledge, this requires normal/good healthy condition.
  • Guests with back pain or weak on their legs should not participate on this trip.
  • Lunch and dinner will be ordered in advance, so if you have any food allergy, you have to give us message with some days in advance.
Day 1
  • Pick up at hotel in Longyearbyen.
  • Safety and review of route.
  • Everyone that needs can borrow a warm dress, shoes, winter hat and/or gloves. All the inner clothing (wool jacket and underclothing) guests must bring themselves.
  • We drive to our camp, with pictures stops on the way.
  • Arriving at our camp/Igloo, we will settle our dogs, feed them and clean the area.
  • Dinner and sharing with you our stories in the arctic over the years.
  • Prepare to have a good night sleep.
Day 2
  • Breakfast.
  • Out on a day trip with the dogs.
  • Lunch will be out the nature if the weather permits.
  • When we are back at the camp, we can clean and feed our teams. Also, organize them so we can take the evening free.
  • Dinner and social talk, we can get to know you this time.
  • Prepare to have a good night sleep.


Day 3
  • Breakfast.
  • We prepare the dogs and we to proceed with our journey back to our wilderness center where you will get to say goodbye to the dogs
  • We will drive you back to your hotel.

All our trips are associated with certain risks. We operate in an Arctic climate and we are working with animals. We make all our guests in mind that the tours is at your own risk, that is to say that we are not accountable for any damage to person or belongings during your stay. Our guests have to sign that they accept this before the tour starts.
